A silversmith does not always look the same. There are different models, such as a plate hammer or a pinnacle and also a finishing hammer. They all belong to the special tool of the silversmith and are rather filigree tools. Their appearance is different, because according to the name also the shape of the hammer head varies. For example, in the plate hammer there are two different curved tracks that are finely polished. The pinnacle has a curved track and the finishing hammer has two round tracks, one of which is flat and the other arched. Again, the fine polishing is important.
The silversmiths' work, which is still mostly manual, requires a number of special tools, of which the silversmith hammers only make up a small part. The hammers are also in home use for filigree craft and model work to use.
